Already running. On real boards. With real data.
Diwan is not a slide deck. It runs a federation board today, with members signing in over WhatsApp OTP, weekly meetings tracked end-to-end, and PDFs going out to FIE within hours of being signed off. Live since 24 April 2026.
What they replaced
WhatsApp groups for board chatter, an ad-hoc Google Drive folder for documents, and a paper notebook the Secretary General carried to every meeting. Decisions were sometimes lost between meetings. Onboarding a new member took weeks of catch-up.
What changed in the first month
- Every board member signs in with a one-time WhatsApp code, no passwords to phish, no email-only friction.
- Meetings carry agenda, attendees, decisions, action items, and minutes in one record. Minutes ship as a branded PDF with two clicks.
- Athletes, events, results, clubs, coaches, referees, news, all in one bilingual EN+AR public site that doubles as the federation's source of truth.
- Actions assigned in the meeting fire WhatsApp reminders to owners, with completion tracked live. Engagement scorecard shows who's keeping pace.
- Public API (10+ endpoints, OpenAPI documented) lets partners, clubs, FIE, the Ministry, pull live rosters and results without an integration project.
Outcome
OFC's first formal cycle on Diwan closed with 100% of action items either complete or carried forward with an explicit owner. The Secretary General reports that minutes now ship within 24 hours of a meeting, down from 7-10 days. Two new sponsors signed because the public site finally looked institutional.
