How is Diwan different from Boardable, BoardEffect, Diligent, OnBoard?
Diwan is built bilingual EN/AR from day one (not a translated retrofit), is sovereign-deployable on-prem in your own data center, and is priced in OMR with no per-seat tax. The competitors are US-built, English-first, cloud-only. For GCC ministries, federations, and regulated boards, that gap is decisive.
Can we run Diwan fully on-prem with no internet?
Yes. The on-prem mode (MAJLIS_MODE=onprem) ships as a single Docker compose file. Air-gapped operation is supported. Annual upgrades arrive as signed tarballs. We can also do source escrow.
Is the data residency in Oman?
For Cloud SaaS and Custom Domain, yes, our primary infrastructure is in Muscat fronted by Cloudflare. For On-Prem, the data lives wherever your servers do. We never replicate your tenant data outside the deployment you chose.
How long does onboarding take?
A new Cloud tenant is provisioned in under 60 seconds. A Custom Domain customer is live the same day we receive DNS access. On-Prem typically ships in two weeks including hardware sizing and a first training session.
How do you handle Arabic content?
Every text field is bilingual by design. Pages auto-direct based on the chosen language (RTL for Arabic, LTR for English). Numbers, dates, and money use Arabic-aware formatting. PDFs render with IBM Plex Sans Arabic and DialogueME, no character drops.
What does Pro at OMR 50 / month / tenant include?
All 32 modules, up to 100 active members, full audit log with CSV export, both email and WhatsApp OTP login, priority email support with same-business-day response, and unlimited document storage up to 10 GB per tenant.
Do you integrate with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, WhatsApp Business?
WhatsApp Business OTP is built in via the same engine that powers BHD’s Dardasha product. M365 and Google Workspace SSO via SAML are on the Enterprise tier. Calendar (.ics) feeds work for any client today.
Who built Diwan and who runs it?
Diwan is a BHD Group product, designed and engineered in Muscat. The same team operates Cardify, BHD-ERP, Dardasha, ReachScreens, Hosn and other GCC-first SaaS products. We are not a US software vendor with a Dubai sales office.
