A Muscat print shop that ships software, because we had to.
Diwan is built by BHD Printing & Designing. We started with print contracts for Omani federations and sovereign clients, kept getting the same complaint about how their boards ran, and built the thing they kept asking for. OFC ran on it first. The rest of you are next.
Mission
Make the bureaucracy that boards depend on disappear into the background, meeting prep, votes, minutes, signatures, member follow-up, so the board can spend its time on the decisions that actually matter for the organisation it serves.
Run on Omani infrastructure with Omani currency. Bilingual EN+AR by default, never as a translation afterthought. On-prem when the customer's CISO needs it. Open public APIs so the data is never trapped.
The team building Diwan
Founder + CEO of BHD Printing & Designing (Bin Haider Darwish S.P.C.), Muscat. Head of Strategic Planning at ITHCA Group, the sovereign tech fund under the Oman Investment Authority. Started OFC's digital programme as president of the federation, hit the same governance friction every Omani board hits, decided to build the platform rather than keep importing one.
Day-to-day: ships code, runs the print floor, sits on three boards. Believes the founder's job is to make the next ten years of compounding possible, then get out of the team's way.
Why a print shop?
Because we sit at the seam between the institution and the thing the institution actually hands to its members. We print the Annual Report a board signs off on. We print the certificates the federation hands out. We print the policy book the new committee chair reads on day one. Every one of those is the output of a board process that was usually run on WhatsApp, paper, and a shared inbox that nobody owned.
Diwan is the digital scaffolding under that printed output. We started building it for ourselves, then for OFC, and now for the boards that kept asking how OFC moved from "WhatsApp + Drive + a Secretary General with a notebook" to "minutes signed and circulated within 24 hours, action items live, public site institutional".
BHD Group brands Diwan sits next to
Eleven sister brands under one CR, all running on shared infrastructure (the same VPS, the same mail server, the same Paymob account, the same AI key). On-prem customers manage one set of credentials.
How we work
Ship every day
Average release cadence: 8-12 commits a day, end-to-end deployed to production in under 5 minutes per change. Public changelog at diwan.om/changelog.
Eat our own cooking
OFC runs on the same code you'd buy. We feel every quirk on day one, not month six. Smoke regression on the OFC public site is part of every deploy.
One set of credentials
Paymob, SMTP, AI key, mail server, all shared with our existing BHD-ERP infrastructure. You inherit a stack that's been hardening since 2024.
Sovereign by default
EU-hosted Cloud, Muscat edge, on-prem mode disables every outbound call. Same code in all three modes, no "lite" or "demo" build.
